![]() ![]() The exhibition offers optimistic images of rosy-cheeked kids and their world. I would have loved to paint the rest of the panel which included Henrik Drescher, Guy Billout and Laurie Rosenwald, but I got shy and only got one sneaky photo. This is why the images on show at Ladybird by Design are set to engage the public and creative professionals alike. In this painting of mine it looks like they are reading some kind of religious text, but it's actually Zeegen's book. ![]() (I actually memorized some of Steve's books after looking at them so many times in my undergraduate years!). Last Thursday I attended an amazing lecture by Lawrence Zeegen on his book "50 years of illustration" at the Society of Illustrators. On the 24th of January a new exhibition will be opening, celebrating the design of Ladybird Books through ‘the golden years’ of the 50s, 60s and early 70s. ![]()
